Umi Sushi and Hibachi is nestled in Blaine, Minnesota where we are proud to outsource all the seafood straight from Umi, meaning the sea in Japanese. Inspired by Japanese and Chinese cuisine, Umi created a Sushi and Hibachi menu with fresh and high-quality ingredients in mind.
Besides our dine-in area, we have a full bar where you can find anything from the most common cocktails to the most expensive whiskey on the market. And because of the high demand for a hibachi dining experience, we are the only restaurant in the area that offers hibachi grill cooking. Our hibachi seating has 4 hibachi tables, in which each table can seat 8 people on each side. Our skilled and talented chefs will cook right before your eyes and put on a show for your entertainment.

First time here and loved it. Sushi was presented nice and it was delicious. I'm from California and sushi is everywhere. But this was different. It had its own style and flavor. I wasn't disappointed at all. The lobster and scallops hibachi was good too.
We dined outside today, during Happy Hour. UMI has great service and even better food! We had the spicy edamame, pork gyoza, shrimp tempura roll, a crazy crab roll and soft spring rolls. Next time I am in Blaine, I will definitely be returning.
Delicious food. Sushi rolls were cut into good bite sized pieces. Hibachi has good flavor and even had extra sauce. Crispy spring rolls is a must try! Absolutely LOVED it! Pork gyoza was hot and fresh. It's nice how they also have the big hibachi tables.
The first time I visited this location, I was very pleasantly surprised by their decor, especially in their outdoor patio. It's the perfect place to grab a nice dinner and drinks with your friends. As I walked in, I was greeted right away by the host, and everyone made me feel welcome during my visit.
